I attended Northern Illinois University and graduated in May of 2016 with a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Kinesiology. From there I made the big change from cornfields to skyscrapers and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago to pursue my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. I am currently in my third year of school and have plans to graduate in May of 2019. After two very long years of academics, I am finally ready to begin my clinical rotations and put what I have learned into practice!

I completed a short clinical rotation in Chicago last summer and will be traveling to other locations across the country over the next year to gain clinical experience in a variety of settings. I am extremely fortunate to learn from an eclectic group of health care professionals here at VIMG, including physical therapists, chiropractors and massage therapists. I have the pleasure of spending the summer months here, where I look forward to expanding my clinical reasoning skills and helping our patients get back to performing the activities they love.

Originally from a rural town, it is nice to return to a more “rural” environment here in the Vail Valley. Within the last few years I have grown to love distance running, completing my first marathon last September. Despite the difficulty I have recently experienced while running at such a high altitude, the scenery here certainly makes up for it! In addition to my love for exercise and the outdoors, I am a musician and have played the string bass for thirteen years. I played in many orchestras, jazz ensembles and even participated in several musicals. When choosing a clinical site, I learned that VIMG partners with the International Dance Festival every year, treating the very talented dancers, and wanted to be a part of this experience. Coming from a musical background, I am thrilled and eager to combine both my passions for physical therapy and the performing arts as I continue to grow as a clinician in the months to come!

I was born and raised in Sycamore, Illinois, a farm town roughly an hour west of Chicago.
